Sustainability and citizenship the education challenge for the future
About the project
The world population faces a situation of climatic emergency and the overexploitation of the planet’s natural resources, both derived from the current production and consumption model. Everybody and specially governments and institutions must make an effort to achieve the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and their fulfillment by 2030.

The European Green Deal, which sets out how to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 by boosting the economy, improving people’s health and quality of life, caring for nature and leaving no one behind, offers a reference framework that can serve as a basic foundation of the European educational Project. The solution to this global crisis must be local, but it´s necessary to create the means in order to make this happen. Security and wellness depend on diversity and proximity. So, it is necessary to pay attention to local economy and natural environment.
Our Project seeks that our students know about their past as well as get them familiar with those traditional productive practices in their own regions characterized by their sustainability.
They would also be able to critically analyze our present and to acquire resources to face the future with hope.
